'24 winter

Set into the landscape like a carved object, this concrete pavilion is both a public space and a study in making. Cast entirely in place, it becomes a canvas for light—framing the sun’s path through carefully placed oculi that mark the solstices and equinoxes. Slim side openings pull in shifting east–west light, animating the heavy form with quiet movement throughout the day. Low horizontal openings offer a curious moment, where only feet and shadows pass through view—inviting children to run, hide, and explore. Solid yet porous, it’s a space shaped by light, time, and the joy of moving through.
